Set Up New Electric Service
If you need to set up service with us, follow these steps:
- Have your future address handy.
- Be prepared to tell the representative that answers your call when you would like to turn on your service.
- Call us at 800.256.6405, Monday through Friday, between 8:00am and 4:30pm.
You may be required to pay a meter deposit. Deposits may be waived under the following conditions:
- If you are currently, or have been within the last 18 months, a member with good credit history of Northeast Oklahoma Electric Cooperative.
- If you provide the cooperative a “good letter of credit” from previous electric utility.
- If you provide a “letter of guarantee” from an existing member with a good credit history.

Transfer or Disconnect of Electric Service
To transfer or disconnect electric service, please visit one of our offices in Vinita or Grove, or call our Member Service Department at 800.256.6405.
Transferring Electric Service
To transfer electric service within the Cooperative’s service area, please have the following information available:
- Name
- Old Service Address & Meter Number
- Old Mailing Address & Meter Number
- New Service Address
- New Mailing Address
- Phone number
- Account number
- Phone Number
- E-mail Address
Disconnect Electric Service
To disconnect electric service with the Cooperative, please have the following information available:
- Name
- Old Mailing Address
- New Mailing Address
- Phone Number
- Account and Pole Number of All Locations to Be Disconnected
- Indicate if Security Light to Be Disconnected
Temporary Disconnect
When a meter is disconnected and the consumer for whom it was disconnected has it reconnected within twelve (12) months of the time it was disconnected, it shall be termed a “temporary disconnect”.
